How to check kavat`s energy?

Personally, I find two methods as the best ones to do this: so called "White Method" and a new one, which is available for us after some new updates of pet's appearance menu.
Now we can see actual natural kavat's energy by simply looking in its appearance tab:

Kavat's energy color identification with ingame files

Discovered by BrokenValkyrie

1. Equip the kavat you want to check
2. Exit warframe
3. Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Warframe and delete EE.log
(If you cannot find AppData, you can either google how to show hidden files and folders, or go to the start bar, type "run" and in there type "appdata" to get an explorer window to open with this folder)
4. Start warframe
5. Go to arsenal and the Kavat Appearance screen
6. Equip a regalia (and unequip it again if you want)
7. Exit out of Arsenal Look in the new EE.log, type "eyes" into the Find box, and you should see a line like:
"[Info]: Spot-building /Lotus/Types/Game/CatbrowPet/Colors/CatbrowPetColorEyesG"
The last letter indicates the energy colour
Edit: You may be able to skip deleting the file step, if it's not working add the step back in

Gold - D
Orange - E
Blue - F
Cyan - G
White - H
Teal - I
Silver - J
Pink - K
Lilac - L
Yellow - M
Amber - N
Red - Vamp
